XBMoteC App Reviews

I saw the bad reviews on this and cant figure out why other than people trying to run it with an older version of XBMC than 10.0!!! Im running XBMC Live 10.1 and it works perfect for my needs! & ITS FREE!!?!??!!!

It works as advertised, is free and needs a Serious UI overhaul!

Ladies and Gents, it is seriously disheartening as a developer to spend a ludicrous amount of time an energy writing a free app and get flamed for UI inconveniences. I think this app works incredibly well, is rock solid and looks spanky smart. Give the product the rating it deserves, and make encouraging noises while giving suggestions for improvements. That way the developer will feel encouraged by their efforts and will be likely to continue development. Anyway...kudos for a great app that works extremely well and simplifies access to my rig dramatically!

I just tested it on my iPhone 4 and Im running xbmc v10.0 and it works great. All the basic controls are there and its very responsive. Best part, its FREE!

Solid. Free. Needs to skip the when sorting movies. Would like to be able to update library or scan source for new content. Would pay .99 for ad free version

Such a great app and does exactly what I need it to do. The fact that it is free is simply incredible. Nice job. Will there ever be keyboard functionality I do a lot of searching and it would be fantastic to have support for that.

I got the app to pick up my whole XBMC library very quickly and displays everything pretty nicely. ...problem is that it loses connection all the time or just wont connect. Other XBMC remotes dont have this problem on my setup. Needs work. Also volume doesnt change with slider!

This app simply wont connect to my XBMC/ATV. Soulmote works great with the same settings applied.

Would pay $2 for no adds. Perfect otherwise.

So far I am unable to make a connection to my XBMC (Current version as of today). I wish I could say more, but since Im unable to use it... I was looking for a Help or Support option, but nothing exists to assist the "Non-Geeks" in this world to establish a successful connection with their PC (XBMC). Note, that I am connected via WiFi to my home router and tried matching the settings between my iPhone & XBMC software; no luck so far.

Crashes whenever I use the remote

Ive been using this over a year now with my XBMC setup and I love it. It connects so seamlessly I wish every remote app worked like this one. You do need a static IP address on your XBMC machine for this to work well. Its manual entry only. I only have two minor gripes. 1) When playing something from anywhere it doesnt bring you to the remote control screen after. Sometimes via the library you get a now playing commands which only offer a small set of the remote commands. I would like at a minimum to have easier access to the remote. Even a file selected should bring you to the remote. 2) This is only a button based remote. There is no swipe pad to use like on other remotes. Meaning you have to always look at your phone to navigate.

Dont bother downloading. Doesnt work at all. Junk! Thanks for wasting my time.

This is my favorite xbmc app! The volume control makes it loads better than the rest.

I can not believe this app is free, it is awesome. This greatly improved my xbmc setup, and I thought it was pretty good to begin with. App downloads and caches files on the iPod, so it is super fast, and the buttons on the remote are very intuitive. My only recommendation is to add a help section, or a link to a website to explain setup. Although setup is very quick and easy, I had to search online to find out how to do it. Thanks for developing this, and thanks for making it free!

This app works amazingly well for being free! I read some of the other reviews and thought a few were overly critical. Your app does exactly what it says for no charge. The only thing i would agree is that the setup was confusing without searching it. I suggest adding a link to your site within the app. Otherwise i love this app! Thank you
